Current Trends in Education

The inaugural University of Adelaide Student-led Conference in Education 2015 brings together scholars, researchers and Higher Degree Research students in an engaging environment that fosters dialogue and debate on issues, trends and challenges currently present in educational research and practice.

While the breadth of the conference focus, Current Trends in Education, allows most research students and scholars to present their latest findings, proposals that focus on the contemporary significance of their studies are strongly encouraged.

The conference is grouped into three interrelated themes: the first, Contemporary Trends in Educational Research, discusses the materiality of educational research and its consequences; the second, Contemporary Contexts in Education, addresses the salient aspects of contemporary educational settings; and the third, Teaching and Learning in Contemporary Education, focuses on the current practices and issues in teaching and learning, including their meanings.

We are also pleased to announce Professor Jane Kenway from Monash University as the Keynote Speaker. Professor Kenway's presentation will address Understanding the triumph of educational advantages in schools.
